AI task tools

FeatureFlight's AI task tools are built into the task modal and the board itself, with no separate tool to open, no copy-pasting into another app. They're there when you need them, and out of the way when you don't.

Task-level AI tools

These tools appear inside the task modal and operate on a single task at a time.

Enhance Description

If you’ve written a rough task description (or no description at all), Enhance Description rewrites or expands it into a clear, structured brief.

To use it:

1. Open a task and go to the Description field.
2. Write a rough note (even a sentence is enough) or leave the field empty for AI to work from the task title.
3. Click Enhance Description.
4. Review the result and edit anything that doesn’t fit.

The original description is replaced by the enhanced version. The result is fully editable, so treat it as a strong first draft rather than a final answer.

Estimate Time

Estimate Time looks at the task title, description, and any similar completed tasks on the board, then suggests an estimated number of hours.

To use it:

1. Open a task.
2. Click Estimate Time.
3. Review the suggested Estimated Hours.
4. Accept it (fills the Estimated Hours field) or adjust before accepting.

Board-level AI: Weekly Insights

Weekly Insights is a board-level summary automatically generated once a week. Rather than drilling into individual tasks, it gives you a high-level read on how the board is moving.

Weekly Insights can surface:

• Tasks that are overdue or at risk
• Bottlenecks (columns with high task accumulation)
• Patterns in scope creep or estimation accuracy
• A narrative summary of progress during the week

To view Weekly Insights:

1. Open the board.
2. Look for the Weekly Insights panel or button in the board toolbar.
3. Click to view the latest generated insight.
