Managing your subscription

Everything billing in one place: view your plan and seats, start on a trial, upgrade or downgrade, and cancel, resume, or recover a lapsed subscription.

Everything subscription-related lives in Settings → Subscription, accessible to Admins only by default (or those with the permission enabled). From there you can see your plan, manage seats, change plans, and handle trials, cancellation, and billing.

The Subscription page

  • Plan and status: your current plan with a status badge: Active (current), Trial (days remaining shown), Canceled (features remain until the period ends), or Past Due (a payment failed; at risk of lapsing).
  • Next billing date: when you’ll be charged next.
  • Monthly / Annual toggle: preview pricing for both cadences (annual is typically cheaper); you change your actual interval through the upgrade flow.
  • Plan comparison: a side-by-side of Starter and Pro.
  • Seat usage: active members plus pending invitations vs. your plan’s limit, with controls to invite or manage users.
  • AI Credits (Pro): your balance, a per-feature usage breakdown, and top-up packs.

All payments run through Stripe Checkout, and FeatureFlight never stores your card. Update your payment method or download Stripe invoices from the Stripe portal, linked on this page.

Getting started free

Through December 31, 2026, new workspaces join the Founding Customer Program and run on the full Pro plan free, with no user cap. No credit card or billing information is required to sign up, and nothing is ever charged automatically. Continuing on a paid plan from January 1, 2027 is something you actively choose. You get complete access to every Pro feature (AI, Goals, guest access, and the rest) from day one. See the Founding Customer Program page for the full details and fair-use policy.

Outside the program, new workspaces start on a 14-day free trial of the plan chosen at signup, with full access to that plan’s features. On the standard trial you’re not charged until the 14 days end, when your card is billed automatically unless you cancel first.

Upgrading and downgrading

  • Upgrading takes effect immediately. Pick the plan in the comparison, confirm through Stripe Checkout, and you’re upgraded. Charges are prorated for the days left in your period (shown before you confirm). Switching monthly → annual works the same way, with a prorated credit for unused days.
  • Downgrading is deferred to the end of your current billing period. You keep your current features until the scheduled date (“Downgrade scheduled for [date]”), then move to the lower plan at the new rate. You can cancel a scheduled downgrade any time before that date.

Canceling, resuming, and lapses

You can cancel any time, and access continues until the end of the current billing period, then the status becomes Canceled. To resume before the period ends, just click resume; no new payment is needed until the next billing date.

A subscription lapses when a payment fails or a canceled subscription reaches the end of its paid period. When that happens, Admins see a renewal page to restart billing through Stripe Checkout, while non-admin users see a locked page until billing is restored. For a Past Due status (payment failed but not yet lapsed), update your payment method in Settings → Subscription and the status returns to Active once it succeeds.
