Tracking goals

Goals gives your team a place to set OKRs, define milestones, and run regular check-ins so strategic targets stay visible alongside day-to-day work.

Goals is FeatureFlight’s OKR (Objectives and Key Results) module. It’s where you capture what you or your team is working toward, not just what tasks exist but why they matter, and track progress through milestones and periodic check-ins.

What Goals includes

  • Objectives: the high-level things you’re trying to achieve (e.g., “Deliver a standout client experience this quarter”).
  • Milestones: intermediate checkpoints you want to hit on the way to a goal.
  • Check-ins: regular updates on progress, with notes, so there’s a record of how things evolved.

Create a goal

  1. Go to Goals in the main navigation.
  2. Click Create Goal.
  3. Enter a Title for your objective, and make it clear and outcome-oriented.
  4. Optionally add a Description, Owner, Due Date, and any Key Results you want to track.
  5. Click Save. The goal appears in your Goals list.

Adding milestones

Click Add Milestone inside a goal to mark an important intermediate step. Milestones have a Title and a Due Date, and can be marked complete as you hit them.

Running a check-in

Check-ins are how you record progress updates against a goal without editing the goal itself:

  1. Open a goal and click Check In.
  2. Update the Current value for any key results that have moved.
  3. Add a Note describing what happened, what’s blocking progress, or what’s next.
  4. Click Submit Check-In. The check-in is timestamped and added to the goal’s history.

Viewing goal progress

The Goals list shows all active goals with their overall progress at a glance. Open any goal to see the full breakdown: key results with current vs. target values, milestone completion, and the full check-in history.
