What is FeatureFlight?

A quick tour of FeatureFlight, the all-in-one operations platform for agencies and teams, and how its areas fit together.

FeatureFlight is an all-in-one operations platform built for agencies and teams that want everything (projects, work tracking, client collaboration, time logging, invoicing, messaging, and more) in one place rather than stitched together across a dozen tools.

Who is FeatureFlight for?

FeatureFlight is designed for:

  • Agencies managing multiple client engagements, internal teams, and billing cycles.
  • Freelancers managing client work, tracking time, and handling invoices from one place.
  • Teams that need to track projects, time, and communication without juggling separate apps.
  • Admins and project managers who need visibility across all active work.
  • External clients and guests (on Pro) who need a window into progress without getting full app access.

If you run client work and need your projects, taskboards, time entries, and invoices to talk to each other, FeatureFlight is built for that exact workflow.

A quick tour of the platform

Here’s what each area does at a high level. Every area is covered in detail in its own help section. This is just the map.

Projects

The Projects area is where client engagements live. A project is the container for a client’s taskboards, time entries, invoices, budget, and team. Projects help organize work by client or engagement, but you can use taskboards, time logging, and other features independently. See creating a project.

Taskboard and Backlog

The Taskboard is a kanban-style board for tracking tasks through columns, with additional list, gantt, and table views for different workflows. Each project can have multiple boards. The Backlog is where tasks live before they’re pulled onto an active board, useful for parking future work without cluttering current sprints. See creating a taskboard.

Time Logging

The Time Logging area lets you and your team log hours against projects and tasks. Those hours flow directly into invoicing and financial reporting. See logging time.

Invoices

The Invoices area covers the full billing lifecycle: create invoices manually or auto-generate them from logged time, send them to clients, track payment status, and record payments received. See creating an invoice.

Messages

Messages is the built-in team chat, organized into channels and threads so conversations stay attached to the right context rather than scattered across email. See messaging basics.

Client Center

The Client Center is where you keep track of your client list and see all information about each client: their taskboards, projects, notes, invoices, billing history, contact info, and AI insights into your client portfolio. On Pro, external guests can be invited to view specific projects and boards, and PDFs in a client’s Documents tab can be sent for eSignature. See sending documents for eSignature.

Schedule

The Schedule area is a rich calendar where you can see task deadlines, view other users’ calendars to quickly see their workload for the day, and find meeting times that work for everyone. You can also see PTO, birthdays, personal events, and more to help coordinate your day. Connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook and your outside meetings show up here too, with two-way sync so changes in either place stay in step. See navigating the app.

Documentation

The Documentation area is a built-in wiki for SOPs, meeting notes, onboarding docs, and any reference material your team or clients need. On Pro, AI can assist with drafting and enhancing docs.

Goals

Set personal goals and assign a manager to work towards them together and track progress. Goals are visible only to you and the manager you assign, keeping progress private between the two of you. Goals is a Pro feature. See tracking goals.

Time Off

The Time Off area lets team members request leave and lets admins or managers approve it, so the schedule and capacity planning stay accurate. Time Off is a Pro feature. See requesting and approving time off.

Teams, and Org Chart

  • Teams: group people so you can assign them to projects and manage work and capacity together. See roles explained.
  • Org Chart: a visual map of your org structure. Org Chart is a Pro feature. See roles explained.

Admin Panel and Settings

Admin Panel and Settings (including Subscription) are where admins configure the workspace, manage seats, and control billing. Most of this is admin-only.

Plans at a glance

FeatureFlight has two plans:

  • Starter (~$19/mo, ~$180/yr): projects, taskboards, time tracking, invoicing, clients, scheduling, basic analytics, and email support. No AI features.
  • Pro (~$39/mo per seat, ~$370/yr): everything in Starter plus unlimited projects and seats, all AI features, advanced analytics and risk detection, Goals, Time Off with approvals, guest access with a client portal, eSignature (5 signature requests per seat each month), and priority support.

Right now, through the Founding Customer Program, new workspaces get the full Pro plan free for any number of users through December 31, 2026, with no credit card required, and nothing is charged automatically. See the Founding Customer Program page for details. (Outside the program, new workspaces start on a 14-day free trial.)
