Getting started as a guest
You've been invited to follow your project in FeatureFlight. Here's how to accept your invite, find your way around, and leave feedback for your team.
Welcome! Your agency or team has invited you to FeatureFlight so you can follow along on your project, leave feedback, and stay in the loop, all in one place. No technical knowledge required.
Accepting your invite
- Find the FeatureFlight email with the subject “You’ve been invited.”
- Click Join FeatureFlight.
- On the setup screen, enter your name, create a password, and choose your timezone.
- Click Get Started and you’re in.
Finding your way around
You’ll land on a simple Home screen showing only the projects your team has shared with you, plus recent activity. The sidebar is slimmed down, with no financial, team, or admin areas, since those aren’t relevant to you. Click a project to open it; inside you’ll see the boards your team shared, with tasks as cards in columns like “To Do,” “In Progress,” and “Done,” so you can see where things stand at a glance.
Leaving feedback and requests
- Comment on a task: click any task card, scroll to Comments, type your message, and send. Your team is notified and replies in the same thread, so the conversation stays tied to the work instead of scattered across emails.
- Create a ticket: to request a change or flag something new, use + Add Task on a board, give it a clear title (e.g. “Homepage headline needs updating”), add detail if helpful, and save.
You can view and pay any invoices your team sends you. See paying an invoice.
What’s private
You see task names, descriptions, statuses, and comments on the boards shared with you. You don’t see the team’s internal time tracking, financials (beyond invoices sent to you), other clients’ projects, or internal boards your team kept private. This separation is intentional, so you get exactly what’s relevant to your work.
