Projects, time, invoices, clients, and communication belong together. When they live in one workspace, nothing gets retyped, nothing gets lost, and nobody spends Friday afternoon reconciling seven apps.

The best tool is the one you stop noticing. We want service businesses spending their hours on the work their clients pay for, with the software quietly telling them what needs attention next.

Our story

The work was never the problem. Everything around it was.

Service businesses don't fail because the work is bad. They fail because the operation around the work is fragmented.

A project tool here, a time tracker there, an invoicing tool over there, a CRM bolted on the side, and a chat app stitching it all together with screenshots and forwarded emails.

We started FeatureFlight because we'd lived that mess. Every agency and freelancer we knew was paying for seven subscriptions to do the job of one, and still losing hours every week to context switching, copy-paste, and chasing invoices.

So we built one place to run all of it: projects, time, invoices, clients, and AI that handles the parts nobody wants to do. The bet is simple. If the operating layer disappears into the background, the work gets better and the business gets healthier.

We're a small team. We ship quickly, we listen to the people using the product, and we build for operators rather than IT departments.

Founder & CEO, FeatureFlight

Brendan Shulman is the founder and CEO of FeatureFlight. He's a software engineer and former pilot who has always liked building things, figuring out how systems work, and making complicated things feel simple.

He started FeatureFlight after watching nearly every freelancer and agency he knew run their business across a pile of disconnected tools, and paying for the privilege. The goal is simple: spend less time managing the work and more time doing it.

What we believe

A few things we won't compromise on.

  1. One tool beats seven.

    Switching between seven apps to run one project is a tax on your day. We'd rather build one place that does the whole thing well than another single-purpose tool that wins a category.

  2. AI should remove busywork, not add it.

    AI features are only worth shipping if they save time on something you already do: drafting briefs, breaking down work, summarizing the week. We don't ship AI for the headline.

  3. Pricing should be honest.

    No "contact us." No surprise quotes or hidden minimums. The price you see is the price you pay, and we'd rather lose a deal than play games on the way in.

  4. Software should respect the operator.

    The people running service businesses don't have time for ceremony. Defaults should be sane, the happy path should be fast, and the tool should disappear when you're working.
